Item Description
A large, and very deep, 19th century, French copper preserve pan. This is made from an exceptionally heavy gauge of copper and it dates from c.1850. It has a wide, castellated seam in the base and up one side but the sides also have a planished finish.The brass handles are quite simple in form and the pan has a rolled rim. It is in very good condition but there is some dark marking around the brased seams. This could be from the manufacture.
Dimensions: Diameter 46cm. Width across the handles 51.5cm. Depth of pan 20cm. Height including the handles 25cm.
