Item Description
A late 19th century, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip violeteer. This is marked “WEDGWOOD ETRURIA ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1895. It is also impressed with a small workman’s mark and the letters “O” and “W". It is decorated with a continuous band of classical maidens and cherubs between trees and foliage. To the lid are acanthus leaves and small, stylised flowers. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue. Both the violeteer and cover are in excellent condition.
