Item Description
A 19th century, miniature, Wedgwood dark blue jasper dip jug. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1860. It is also impressed “2 1/2” which relates to the height in inches. The marks are very lightly impressed and difficult to make out but they are there. It is decorated with two different classical subjects, one on either side, and there is a tree under the spout. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a very deep, rich shade of blue. The jug is in excellent condition.
