Item Description
A lovely pair of Wedgwood black basalt spill vases. Each vase is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and they date from c.1920. They are also impressed with a number “8” which relates to the height in inches. One is impressed with a letter “A” and the other with a “J”. They are spring decorated with a band of harebells and acanthus leaves beneath garlands of flowers which hang from rams heads. This design is known as the “Harebell and Acanthus Pattern”. To the rim are borders of classical scrolls and flowers. The reliefs are very good quality and both vases are in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 18.5cm. Diameter 7.5cm.
