Item Description
An unusual, 18th century, polychrome Dutch Delft plate. This is painted, in blue, green, manganese, ochre and iron red, with flowers and insects in the oriental manner. To the rim is a narrow border of oriental style symbols in cartouches and these are divided by geometric panels. The plate dates from c.1760. There is minor flaking to the glaze, as one would expect with Delft of this period, but generally the plate is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Diameter 22.9cm. Depth 3.1cm.
