Item Description
A rare and large, 19th century, French copper mould with the full form of a sheep to the top. This is well made, from a heavy gauge of copper, and it has a castellated seam up the side. It is stamped with a pattern number “146” and it dates from c.1860. The sheep is well modelled, but very primitive in style. There was a hanging loop attached to the rim. This has been removed but you can still see where it has been taken from. The mould is in excellent condition but the tinning, to the interior, is worn.
Dimensions: Length 22.2cm Width 14.4cm. Height 16.5cm.
Price includes postage within the U.K. Shipping to the U.S.A. and most of Western Europe.
