Item Description
A very unusual, steel herb of vegetable chopper with cleaning slider. This is stamped “PATENT No 1556”. It is English and dates from c.1880. The slider enables one to remove any food from the blade which has stuck during the chopping process. This would work very efficiently and save you from having to scrap the blade with a knife, particularly useful when chopping herbs. It is well made, with cast steel fittings and a turned wooden handle, and it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Height 18cm. Width 17.8cm. Diameter of handle 3cm.
