Item Description
A very unusual, steel meat cleaver and tenderiser. This is either French or German and it dates from c.1900. The steel cleaver is in the shape of a stag but this attached, on its’ back, to a cast steel meat beater or tenderiser. We have never seen a piece in this form before. It is both very functional, and decorative, as it combines the two tools in one. It is well made and the handle is turned in oak. It is in very good condition with just a little pitting to the steel, from use.
Dimensions: Length 28cm. Height 11.8cm. Diameter of handle 3.2cm.
