Item Description
A late 19th century, steel bread knife with a carved wooden handle. The steel blade is stamped “J.H. POTTER. SHEFFIELD” and the knife dates from c.1890. It is also engraved “Bread Knife”, in an ornate script, and this is all within a shaped cartouche. The beechwood handle is carved with a flower and wheat but the knife has had plenty of use and the carving is now quite worn. The knife is in good, usable condition.
Dimensions: Length 31cm. Width of blade 3.5cm. Diameter of handle 3cm.
