Item Description
An unusual, early 20th century, steel cleaver in the shape of a weird, mythological beast. This is German and it dates from c.1920. It has a number of different letters and numbers stamped in the steel, “58”, “AM”, and “15”. The piece has a very simple, carved wooden handle which is attached by steel rivets. There is pitting to the steel, from use, but otherwise it is in very good condition.
Dimensions: Length 37.5cm. Height 15.5cm. Width of handle 2cm.
