Item Description
A deeply carved, 19th century, sycamore breadboard. This dates from c.1870. The boarder is very well carved with ivy, barley, oak leaves and acorns against a stipple background. The carving has lovely detail and depth but it also has slight wear from years of use which softens the look. There are scratches to both the face and the reverse, from use, but otherwise it is in very good condition. There is an unusual shaped stain on the reverse which can be seen in one of the images.
Dimensions: Diameter 30cm. Depth 2.2cm.
