Item Description
A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip, square trinket box. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It also has an impressed “O” which would be the workman’s mark. The lid is decorated, in white relief, with a classical scene and four large, stylised flowers surrounded by a border of roses. The box is decorated with four different scenes all involving putti at play or Cupid and these are divided by anthemion on the corners. It is in excellent condition, the reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a deep shade of blue.
Dimensions: Height 5cm. by 10.2cm. square.
