Item Description
A 19th century, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip tea caddy and cover. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD” and it dates from c.1860. There are also two small impressed marks which are possibly workmans’ marks. The caddy is decorated, in white relief, with a band of classical maidens standing between trees and foliage. There are small, stylised flowers around the shoulder of the caddy and these are repeated on the lid. The reliefs are all good quality and the jasper dip is a rich shade of blue. Both the caddy and cover are in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 16.5cm. Diameter 7.5cm.
