Item Description
A Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip cream or milk jug. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. It is also impressed with a latter “D”, a number “7” and the number “36” which would be a batch number. The jug is decorated, in white relief, with a continuous band of classical figures offering sacrifices and, to the rim, there is a border of grapes and vines. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a very deep shade of blue. The piece is in excellent condition.
