Item Description
A small, Wedgwood, dark blue jasper dip milk or cream jug. This is marked “WEDGWOOD MADE IN ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1920. It is decorated, in white relief, with a band of classical subjects, trees and foliage between narrow, white bands. Around the spout and handle are laurel leaves and berries. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a good, rich shade of blue. The jug is in excellent condition. This shape of jug was catalogued, by Wedgwood, as the Etruscan shape.
Dimensions: Length 11.5cm. Width 9.2cm. Height 6.6cm.
