Item Description
A Wedgwood dark blue jasper dip teapot and cover. This is marked ”WEDGWOOD ENGLAND” and it dates from c.1900. This shape of teapot was classified, in Wedgwood’s catalogues, as the Etruscan shape. It is decorated, in white relief, with a continuous band of classical figures set between trees and foliage, and there is a classical leaf border to the lid. The reliefs are good quality and the jasper dip is a very deep, rich shade of blue. Both the pot and cover are in excellent condition.
Dimensions: Height 10cm. Length 19.3cm. Width 12.5cm.
