Item Description
An original mid century sculptor's plaster maquette of a group of figures huddled together, in the brutalist manner.
Large scale full bodied plaster sculpture reinforced in the classic manner with plaster soaked fabric or burlap, no apparent signature.
A newspaper fragment to the underside where the sculpture stood and got stuck to the wet plaster indicates a provenance of either Belgium or Germany, circa 1950.
Certainly a unique piece of mid century art.
