Antique Victorian Solid Walnut Inlaid Pier Cabinet Bookcase

A lovely Victorian Walnut Pier Cabinet surviving from the victorian era c1880.

Having a rectangular top over cavetto frieze inlaid with geometric foliate design with a single glazed door enclosing original plush velvet shelves with inlaid uprights with matching designs and gilt metal floral and swag mounts, on a chamfered plinth base.

Pier Cabinets are called because they are to stand in the pier (the portion of wall between two windows or doors).

The cabinet as a whole is Beautifully finished and is of good proportion. With shelves so you can not only display books but anything you would like.

The backboards are original and the item is offered in good antique condition with wear as expected with furniture of this age.

Some veneer loss present to the side plinths.

Please note that we love vintage items with Original Patina and in as original condition as possible and are not sold as new and are likely to show signs of wear and tear. This is NOT sufficient grounds for a refund.

Historical worm, foxed glass and old repairs are not sufficient for a refund as by the very nature of buying antiques you as the customer and we as the vendor expect this to be commonly accepted things that come with buying antique furniture. These are not sufficient grounds for a refund.

DELIVERY IS WITHIN MAINLAND ENGLAND AND WILL BE DELIVERED BY SPECIALIST ANTIQUE FURNITURE COURIERS WHO WILL ARRANGE DELIVERY DIRECT WITH YOU THE CUSTOMER. THEY WILL ENDEAVOUR TO GET YOUR ITEM TO YOU AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE BUT PATIENCE IS TO BE REQUIRED AND UNDERSTOOD BY THE CUSTOMER BEFORE PURCHASE.

If you wish to return an item the refund will NOT include this as arranging free delivery takes time and money including wrapping costs which we pay for and therefore you would be charged for the initial free delivery AND return courier fee.
