Item Description
A striking mid-century figurative oil painting by French artist Paul Petit (1915–2003), signed lower right.
The painting depicts two elongated seated figures in conversation, painted with strong black outlines and a warm palette of ochre, orange, cream and green.
The textured surface, simple forms and muted colours give the painting a distinctive mid-century French modernist feel.
