Lovely and useful!
Antique French handblown glass Wasp Trap, slightly wonky and lots of natural air bubbles.
In excellent condition, the rim is always left in original form, ie rough edges
These were hung from trees with wire support or placed in the centre of a garden table.
Wasps and other insects are lured into the trap with the fragrance of rotting fruit juice lying at the bottom of the flask, they then can’t escape through the funnel at the top as it is sealed a cork or stopper
