Pretty little C19th Sunderland lustre jug

Depicting two scenes-

Side 1.

'A West VIEW oF the CAST IRON BRIDGE over the RIVER WEAR'

'Span 230 feet H. 100' feet. Begun21st Sept. 1793 Opend. 9Aug 1796

Side 2.

'The loss of gold is great

The loss of health is more

But losing Christ is such a loss

As no man can restore. 

Transfer printed and coloured, with pink lustre painted decoration over a creamware body

Probably by Dixon & Co Sunderland 

In good condition, no cracks but two chips on the spout- image 6

Dimensions: Height 10.5cm, Diameter at base 6.5cm, width at handle 15.5cm
