Item Description
An attractive industrial two-tier rotating stamp holder that would have stood on an office desk in the early 20th century. It is quite an elaborate design with decorative flourishes on the end of each arm, and acanthus leaf relief moulding around the base. It retains its original black paintwork with traces of gold detailing. The two circular tiers hold 10 stamps each, with the top tier having wider apertures than the bottom to hold larger stamps. The two tiers smoothly rotate independently of each other. The base is marked 'Made in England'. This is an interesting and attractive piece of now defunct industrial desk furniture.
The carousel is in good condition with minor wear commensurate with its age. The stamps shown in the photos are included.
