A large 19th Century Chinese polychrome painted carved-wood figure of Guanyin standing on a lotus base, her robes with gillt foliate decoration.
Guanyin is the Buddhist Boddhisatva of compassion and often depicted with a lotus flower as a symbol of purity and enlightenment.
In good condition overall with original paintwork and some slight chipping in places.
