Item Description
A good quality Regency mahogany secretaire bookcase cabinet, circa 1820-30, the astragal glazed top fitted with four adjustable shelves with moulded front edges, the doors with brass central strip and original lock and working key, the base with double bullnose edge moulding, the secretaire drawer with fitted interior of drawers and pigeonholes over three graduated drawers with cockbeaded edges, knob handles and raised on ring turned feet.
In excellent, clean condition and of good colour. The handles to the small secretaire drawers are replacement ivorine examples otherwise a very original piece.
224cm high, the base 99.5cm wide, 56cm deep and 107cm high, the top 25.5cm deep.
