Item Description
A really lovely, quality thing - this vintage kilim travel bag is generously proportioned, useable and stylish.
The outside of the bag is made from sections of vibrantly coloured kilim carpet with tan leather edging, straps and handle and quality brass hardware that has darkened to a bronze colour. Inside is leather lined with a zippered pocket. The base of the bag is leather with brass studs to stop wear / scuffs.
The clasp, straps and handle are all in good, functional order. The bag has some marks and scuffs commensurate with age / use but it's clearly only been used lightly and carefully.
A hard piece for me to date; I'd guess at the bag itself being 1970s with the carpet material being older.
It measures 56cm wide x 40cm high x 30cm deep - a great size for a couple's weekend travelling or a longer solo trip.
