Copper engraving with hand colouring from 1802 edition of Encyclopaedia Londinensis (Universal Dictionary of Arts, Sciences and Literature). Engraved by John Pass (J Pass) after illustration by Albertus Seba.
Depicting the ‘The Tontelton’, ‘The Jordaine’ and ‘The Argus’,
Some great patina and time toning showing this item has been deeply enjoyed over its life time. Very charismatic illustrations which adds a unique and slightly playful character to whichever space they fill.
Reframed in 1983, presented in bespoke, hand-crafted mount and wooden frame with glass.
