This is an antique office desk chair. An English, oak drawing room elbow seat, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1910.
- Inviting desk chair, ideal for the drawing room or home office
- Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order
- Select oak stocks present a fine grain interest with wisps of medullary rays
- Warm caramel hues accentuate the serpentine form of the armchair
- Gently rolled, shaped upper rail situated above a five post back rest
- Loop arms enclose the seat squab, with forward orientated supports
- Finished with a later, mid-century faux leather cushion and accentuated with press stud trim
- Raised upon four elongated cabriole legs with splayed rears, and being further united with an H-stretcher
- Maker's mark to the base for B. Maggs & Co of Clifton, Bristol
