This is an antique copy of Legend of Jubal by George Eliot. An English language, bound poetry book, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880.
Under the nom de plume George Eliot, Mary Ann Evans (1819 - 1880) was a journalist, writer and poet, born in Warwickshire during the latter stages of the Georgian period. Her most famous novels included Middlemarch (1872) and Daniel Deronda (1876) which captured a provincial view of life. As a collection of poetry, Jubal was written concurrently with Middlemarch.

- Bound in a tasteful light brown with gold tooling to cover and spine
- Striking marble papers line the inside covers
- Printed across 297+ pages by William Blackwood & Sons of Edinburgh and London
