Item Description
An original 19th century horse cart panel for 'James Machin - Poulterer and Licensed Dealer in Game'. Hand-painted on ash wood. This is a rare survivor of a tradesman's advertisement board, which most likely adorned his delivery cart.
In good original condition with characterful old repair straps to the reverse where the wooden panel has split over the years. Not overly large, this piece could easily fit into a domestic interior, such as decoration for a kitchen wall of over an internal doorway.
