An Edwardian architectural watercolour painting of 'The Holt' in Scalby, Yorkshire. Most likely commissioned by the owner of the property at the time, Mr James Alfred Cook, the proprietor of the Hull Evening News. Signed by the artist 'S. E. Riley' and dated '1904'. Unframed, but with original gilt mount. Minor foxing to paper.
