Item Description
Antique French Confit Pot Jar
A nineteenth century French confit pot jar with classic dark yellow pottery and glaze. Originally used to store food such as duck in fat before refrigeration they are now beautiful decorative pieces in their own right on a table or with dried flowers on a windowsill. This pot is in its original condition and has various imperfections to the finish and glaze giving a lovely rustic look.

Workshop Report: The pot has some age related markings see photos. The pot isn’t glazed internally so is not watertight so you would need to put another watertight container inside if using as a vase.
As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
