Item Description
Antique French Wicker Baguette Basket
A lovely old French baguette basket with its original linen lining. Originally used in a French bakery/boulangerie this dough proofing basket was used to help keep dough’s shape and structure while rising. The fabric liner was hand sewn into the basket and we would recommend replacing with new fabric if you would like to use this basket to put food in. Alternatively it is a lovely decorative piece for in a kitchen or cafe/restaurant.
Circa: 1940s
Workshop Report: Vintage used condition so some signs of minor wear. Any historical woodworm has been treated.
As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
