Antique Inspection Pendant Light Desk Lamp – G

An antique inspection lamp salvaged from a Portsmouth docks workshop, the lamp retains its original brass handle and protective cage. The bakelite top unscrews to remove the bulb. The light has been rewired with new components and can be used as a pendant or desk lamp. It retains the makers mark embossed into the top, Wm. McGeoch & Co. Ltd., a long-established British firm of wholesale ironmongers, electrical engineers, and marine/industrial lighting manufacturers founded in Glasgow in 1832. Pattern 17208 built to British Admiralty or Ministry of Defence pattern specifications for naval and maritime use.

Workshop Report: The light has been left in its original condition, the wood and metal work will have age related markings. The lamp has new CE certified electrical fittings, a E27 (Screw) bulb holder. Please advise when ordering if this will be used as a desktop or pendant and we will supply an inline on/off switch and 3amp 3 pin plug if required.

This product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use. The lamp has been PAT tested.
