Antique Swivel Desk Chair by Stella
An original French vintage wooden swivel chair manufactured by the French chair company Stella.
Stella was founded in 1922 in Labruguière, in the South of France, by Léon Ruisseau. Léon wanted to create “durable seating” that would stand the test of time. Using his former experience manufacturing wheelbarrows during the First World War, he invented a chair design whose construction guaranteed sturdiness. Named “LUCETA,” this unique chair marked the launch of the first “INDISLOCABLE” chairs, which would make Stella famous.
This chair is one of the companies later designs. It is constructed from beech with a cast metal height adjuster. The original wear marks have been left on the seat.
All feet have the original feet protectors.
The original Stella manufacturing label is retained on the back of the chair.
