Early Original Anglepoise Lamp 1227 Model By Herbert Terry & Sons – H
An early original Anglepoise lamp by Herbert Terry and Sons, Model 1227, This model was one of the first 1227 or ‘two step’ lamps a ‘crossover’ model featuring components from both the earlier ‘three step’ & later ‘two step’ models. The shade is the slimmer profile perforated shade, the arms are chromed and there is a simple three-piece lower ‘fork’ and the heavier cast base which set this apart from later models.
The original makers mark is cast into the fork base – Made by Herbert Terry & Sons’ This lamps base and shade is finished in the scarcer green crinkle paint colour way.

Workshop Report: This lamp is in its original condition, lightly cleaned and waxed. There is some paint wear in places and a few minor dings to the shade, some wear to the chromed arms, the lamp retains its original green paint. It has been rewired with twisted brown flex and a CE certified switched bayonet bulbholder and 3 pin UK plug. Lamp has been PAT tested.
