Large Antique Wooden Banana Storage Crate Box – B
An original wooden shipping crate used to import bananas into the UK. This crate still retains the original fruit and vegetable importers name ‘ Cyril Hicks Ltd’. The crate is in great condition for its age still vibrant orange in colour. It has a carry handle at either end and a wooden flip lid. The embossed lettering is on the front, back and top. The crate was manufactured by Tait of Hull – embossed onto the end.
A versatile storage crate with so many uses.
Origin:Banbury, England
Circa: 1950s
Workshop Report: The crate is in good solid condition a few marks and dings as expected with its age. Still retains its metal hinges and the top opens and closes well.
As with all our products, this product is an original vintage item so there are signs of wear from use.
