Victorian Country House Armchair
A wonderful late Victorian deep seated country house armchair. The chair has tapered square legs and has retained its original unstamped castors. It is a classic design with scroll arms and a comfortable chair. The chair has some good provenance being salvaged from the late Edward, Lord Montagu’s Palace House on the Beaulieu Estate, Hampshire. We understand that the chair was re-upholstered in the past with new calico, feather down seat cushion and blue silk covers. The blue silk covers have been removed due to wear but a re supplied with the chair.
