Item Description
A beautiful carved oak 17th century coffer of large proportions, originating from a Lake District property.
The front is carved with three panels of floral geometric design with similar banded divides, with a carved frieze rail running around the front and sides. The coffer has a triple panelled top hinged with probably later strap hinges.
The interior has the original candle box.
Length 139cm, height 80cm, width 61cm
Just a gorgeous piece of furniture; still incredibly useful and with a beautiful deep colour.
