HUHAG Holtgebaum & Heinicke, Berlin
HUHAG was a German brand associated with Holtgebaum & Heinicke AG, a Berlin based company specialising in technical drawing materials and office equipment during the early 20th century.
The company was associated with equipment for professional drafting and architectural work, including adjustable drawing tables. These tables combined heavy cast iron frames with wooden drawing surfaces, mechanical adjustment systems and practical storage compartments, reflecting the functional design of German industrial furniture of the period.
HUHAG drawing tables can be identified by their distinctive cast iron bases bearing the HUHAG name and original manufacturer's plaques referencing the company's premises on Neue Wilhelmstraße in Berlin.
Condition Report
Some age related wear to the cast iron base, including areas of paint loss. The wooden surfaces are in great condition, with no scratches and a fresh coat of varnish applied. All mechanisms work well, including the foot pedal, height and angle adjustments. All drawers open and close smoothly, and all locks are working.
