ANTIQUE POTTERY WHEEL
A good quality antique example of a potter’s banding or finishing wheel.
Still very usable with a smooth spinning motion.
It could be used for ceramics or any other purpose where it is useful to rotate an item smoothly. It also works well as a display stand.
Cast iron base fully stamped with the maker’s name ‘Potters Equipment Co. London’.
Probably dating from the early 20th or possibly late 19th century. Circa 1890-1910 in date.
It is in very good vintage condition with only minor wear commensurate with age.
Approximate measurements: 24cm wide x 23cm deep x 23cm high. The diameter of the top is roughly 21.5cm.
