ANTIQUE ENGLISH COUNTRY HOUSE TABLE
A rustic table with simple lines that would work equally well in a traditional or more modern interior setting. The naturally worn off white painted base compliments the dry, naturally silvered pine four plank top to great decorative effect.
Originally used as a prep table in the dairy of a Shropshire farm and then later used in their workshop.
Of simple and traditional peg joined construction. probably made on site, where it remained until recently.
The table is in good vintage condition and is still usable. At some point in its life the front stretcher has been removed. It is full of wear and imperfections throughout which add to its charm and tells its story from years of use in two situations. These imperfections include general wear, splits, shrinkage, repairs, marks, stains holes etc. but overall provide a wonderfully decorative aesthetic.
Approximate measurements: 244cm (8’) wide x 66cm deep x the table height fluctuates between 78-80cm. The height from the floor to the underside of the apron is roughly 62cm.
