F. Schlesicky was a renowned 19th century German "Hof-Uhrmacher" (Court Watchmaker) based in Frankfurt am Main, known for producing high quality clocks, pocket watches & retailing luxury timepieces (including Vacheron Constantin). Active around the 1880s–1900s, his pieces often feature intricate brass, gold, or enamel work.
The clock itself is made by CTW clocks a renowned German clock maker founded in 1852 by Carl Theodor Wagner in Usingen but in 1863 moved to Wiesbaden. It was a highly successful manufacturer of electric clocks and time systems relatively early, supplying large numbers of systems to German railways from 1880 & many very large systems worldwide. Wagner's 4 sons took over the company & ran it until it went public in 1923. Systems continued to be sold through the 20th century, moving to quartz systems in 1977.
