Lwalwa Initiation Mask From The D.R. Congo

Lwalwa peoples hand crafted initiation mask from the Democratic Republic Of Congo. Believed to be from around 1900-1940s.
Totally hand made in good condition, classic concave face bisected by long vertical nose, narrow slits for eyes, round ears & mouth. White clay highlighting within the eyes, mouth, & ears.

This mask is an actual Lwalwa peoples initiation mask it was not made as a tourist piece rather an actual mask used in a initiation ritual.
