A pair of mid-20th century sycamore bedside cabinets, each of softly bowed rectangular form with rounded corners and raised on a plinth base. The figured veneers display a warm honey tone with attractive grain throughout. Each cabinet is fitted with a single frieze drawer, retaining original brass handles, above a cupboard enclosed by twin doors.The tops are done in fiddleback sycamore veneer and have a sheet of glass to protect it.Clean-lined and well-proportioned, these cabinets reflect the restrained sophistication of Art Deco-influenced modern design, combining functionality with understated decorative appeal.
