French Glass Mouthblown Large Cloche

Style: This elegant, large French cloche is mouthblown, featuring a beautifully curvaceous profile and a perfectly formed knob. Still bearing charming remnants of moss and garden greenery, this piece serves as a delightful sculptural accent, functioning perfectly as a miniature greenhouse or striking display item. This cloche has two small pieces of glass missing, one is minor, the other larger as depicted in images. This is reflected in the price. There is a matching cloche with no damage listed separately.

Story: The cloche, a term derived from the French word for "bell," refers to a distinctive bell-shaped glass cover. Historically, these covers served gardeners as miniature greenhouses, shielding delicate plants from frost and harsh weather. Their utility has since evolved, and cloches are now frequently employed as elegant decorative accents or display domes.

This cloche has slight damage (please see images) and is reflected in the price. There are two the same, one with no damage (see other listing).  If bought as a pair an additional reduction in price to £295 per pair.
