Mid-20th Century Coney Beach Porthcawl British Pleasure Park Lithograph Poster

An original vintage travel advertisement poster - Come to Coney Beach Porthcawl Britain's brightest pleasure beach - featuring colourful artwork of a young smiling lady dressed in white waving to the viewer while enjoying a ride on a gold ornamented carousel horse named Susie on a merry-go-round with happy smiling people and families on the beach waving, swimming in the sea and sunbathing in front of a roller coaster ride, ferris wheel and observation tower, slides and other funfair attractions in the background. Opened in 1920, Coney Beach Pleasure Park is located in Porthcawl Mid Glamorgan South Wales and became a popular tourist destination from the 1950s-1980s; built as entertainment for the returning American troops in World War One, it was named after the Coney Island amusement park in New York. This is an unmounted original poster showing some signs of age but in overall good condition considering its age.
