Item Description

Matched pair of coffee tables by Guy Lefevre , 1960
Dating from the mid-20th century, this stylish matched pair of Guy Lefevre coffee tables beautifully combines minimalist design with elegant decorative appeal. Crafted with polished brass frames and smoked toughened glass tops, they feature clean lines and a refined, timeless aesthetic. The smoked glass adds depth and sophistication, while the hollow brass frames create a light, architectural presence that enhances their understated elegance.

Additional detail
Guy Lefevre was a French designer active from the 1960s to the 1980s. He was closely associated with Maison Jansen, for whom he designed tables, consoles, sideboards, and desks with a highly legible geometric design. His vocabulary blends polished brass and chrome, orthogonal structures, and glass, travertine, or lacquered tops, sometimes with touches of parchment or refined Asian influences. The proportions are precise, the joinery clean, with particular attention paid to profiles and edges. He also designed nesting tables and modular sets that have become classics of the "Jansen 70" style. Today, his pieces are sought after for their timeless elegance and their ability to complement both contemporary and vintage interiors. An elegant duo with a chic presence, easily integrated into a contemporary or vintage living room.
