His vocabulary blends polished brass and chrome, orthogonal structures, and glass, travertine, or lacquered tops, sometimes with touches of parchment or refined Asian influences. The proportions are precise, the joinery clean, with particular attention paid to profiles and edges. He also designed nesting tables and modular sets that have become classics of the "Jansen 70" style.
