Item Description
These hand made clay bottles are some of my favorite regular finds! they were originally made in Normandy around 1920 and used to hold cider and poire alcohol. Using local clay from the Gers, each bottle was individually hand thrown, and each is slightly different from the other, both in form and the nuances within the clay, which become even more pronounced upon firing. This leads to loads of amazing natural colours from browns to greys within the bottles, as well as having gorgeous sculptural, uneven qualities.
These are wonderful as decorative items, alone or in a group, with their modern rustic aesthetic.
For purchase, they are shown as groups of 3 with both front and backs.
