French Modernist Bookends By Charles Dudouyt

Tour de Source is run by Stuart MacLeod who is based in Tynemouth, Northumberland on the coast of North East England.

Selling a curated and eclectic selection of 20th century decorative items and antiques with a European modernist meets rustic aesthetic.

He says 'I like the idea of everything working together, like a Collectors home that's gone through gentle changes over the decades. I like things that tell a story and are often hand crafted.'

His passion for antiques and vintage objects started many years ago in Paris, where he worked in fashion design for 25 years.

Weekends were spent either in the Marche Puce, or in his Normandy home, time revolving around renovation, gardening, food and brocantes.

Then, after a further 10 years living and working in Sri Lanka, the antiques business was the natural step on returning to the UK.

Stuart spends his time between the UK and Normandy, where he does the majority of his sourcing and work with customers, both private and trade in the UK and overseas.
