Item Description
A superb pair of bookends, attributed to Charles Dudouyt, from France, from the late 1940's. Made from dark oak, a featuring a screw type design feature, with rounded ends, these are wonderful both as intended or as delightful decorative objects.
Dudouyt was known as an early modernist designer, emerging from the art deco period. Known to incorporate rustic elements of French country furniture and artifacts, with his brutality crafted style.
17cm tall 15cm deep 14cm wide, measuring for one element.
