A fabulous set of drawers. Made originally for a pharmacy, for storing medications and products, this solid pine sideboard is a wonderful storage unit for really anything. The drawers are the correct size to store wine glasses and dining plates so is ideal for use as a freestanding kitchen unit. Also ideal to store candles and table linen in a dining space, clothes in a bedroom, shoes and hats in a hallway. I literally have a sideboard like this in every room in our home. With a small footprint they are ideal for adding a wow piece, ideal for massive storage and the ideal spot to create a focal point by dressing with your favorite artwork or object d'art or tv! The wood has been treated so that the grain is raised and textured. This softens with use, age and waxing. I love this detail about these drawers, is that these were always designed to be painted, so the carpenter made the piece from wood he had available, and you can see on this one, that the carcass and drawer fronts are the pitch pine and the internal structure from a darker, daker wood. I love to see these characteristics exposed. A fabulous set of drawers, rustic to touch and hugely practical and always a statement.
